As action sports have overgrown wild times of hotel destruction and in fact became one of the fastest growing segments in sport industry and can be now days even considered as part of mainstream sports, we believe that they represent strong alternative to existing resort sports, specially for generation Y and consequently big opportunities for the resorts. Furthermore with the climate changes and even more important change in perception of resort visitors, resort have to consider new interpretation of mountain playground and new ways of using space they can offer.
Unlike with more classical sports, resorts still lack in knowledge and experiences in the area of action sports, that is why we have established special interest group, where resorts and action sports experts could gain, share and transfer knowledge and experiences in that area.
Our goals:

Establish best practice models for implementation of action sports in resorts
Strengthen collaboration between the resorts and action sports industries
